Poetry Friday 11 - A preview.

This is just a quick preview of what is coming on Friday, a topical poem.
The great British Bake Off, a BBC TV show about baking, has been sold to a different channel. The show is famous for the smutty humour of the hosts and for cakes.

Bake Off
Bake off's gone to Channel 4
and Twitter’s up in arms
what will happen to Mel and Sue
and Paul and Mary's charms.
Bake off's gone to Channel 4
My mother stood and cried
says she can’t watch the programme
if it's sponsored by Homepride.
Bake off's gone to Channel 4
the world is going end, oh
I hope the adverts don't replace
the constant innuendo.
Bake off's gone to Channel 4
but it's not the end of cake.
The BBC have a replacement
they’ll call it Masterbake.

    2. Yeah, I know but When I read this I remembered the entry from One Hundred:-) although when I look at this brilliant rhyme 'end, oh' and 'innuendo' I think that you could end the third line from the end with 'cake, errrr...' :-D and it would rhyme with 'masturbator', ooops... Sorry 'masterbaker' :-D
